The company was founded in 1995 by Kai Weber to implement design, development and support of open IT infrastructure solutions for the process industry.

A central product of the company is the production software SynergyVision, whose modules cover the functionality of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), a Laboratory Information System (LIMS) as well as an Energy Management System (via the scope of an Energy Management System or EnMS according to the energy management standard ISO 50001:2011; formerly 16001:2009), depending on the stage of expansion.
